Tori Sloan Stevens Founder & Designer of Sewn by Sloan

Handmade in Miami. Designed to get you stopped on the street.

I’m Tori Sloan Stevens - founder, designer, and the one-woman show behind Sewn by Sloan. I’m originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas, but this brand was born the moment I moved to Miami. Something about this city unlocked everything for me. The energy, the colors, the people, the heat, it made me want to create boldly, live slower, and romanticize every little thing.

The first time I ever held a crochet hook; I was a kid sitting next to my Nana Bess. She taught me to loom knit and crochet without knowing she was passing down something sacred. Years later, while digging through old boxes in my childhood bedroom, I found a forgotten stash of yarn. It was right after a chaotic spring break, and I was craving something real, grounding, something that felt like me. So, I started stitching again. And I never stopped.

Now, I design one-of-a-kind crochet pieces for the girls who turn airport terminals into runways and think about outfits before booking the flights. Swim sets, dresses, coverups, vacation uniforms - everything I make is meant to move, breathe, and get noticed. I use soft, luxe fibers like cotton and bamboo blends that drape like a dream and feel like second skin.

I don’t follow patterns. Most pieces start as a sketch or a vibe and evolve in my hands as I work. No two are exactly alike - and that’s the point. Whether I’m crocheting on the balcony, at the beach, or mid-errand in my car, I let the rhythm guide me.

Sewn by Sloan isn’t fast fashion. It’s intentional, limited, and personal. I take on custom work only when it feels right, and I price my pieces to reflect the time, energy, and creativity poured into every single stitch. When you wear something I’ve made, I want it to feel like it was made for you - fitted to your body, wrapped in confidence, and dripping in main character energy.

Miami isn’t just my home - it’s my muse. And this brand is just getting started.

Thanks for being here.
